From first question to verified handover
No credentials or production access are needed for the founding pilot.
Check suitability
Email the question, approximate file count and target date. Do not attach confidential evidence yet.
Agree scope and transfer
EchoCert confirms the exact question, exclusions, price, start date and an appropriate evidence-transfer route in writing.
Process and verify
The agreed originals are inventoried, fingerprinted and assessed. Findings pass a separate QA check before release.
Receive and re-check
You receive the evidence pack, findings and verification instructions, followed by a guided acceptance check.
A good founding-pilot case usually has:
- one clear evidence question or workflow;
- no more than 100 non-sensitive files or 2 GB;
- access to the best available original records;
- no need to expose credentials or live production systems; and
- a person who can confirm the scope and receive the pack.
Clear evidence. Honest boundaries.
A matching SHA-256 fingerprint shows that checked bytes match a recorded reference. It does not by itself prove authorship, truth, ownership, complete capture, an independently certified time or legal admissibility. EchoCert reports those limits plainly and distinguishes observed evidence from unproven claims.

Before you enquire
Can organisations outside the UK use EchoCert?
Yes, where EchoCert can lawfully and practically serve the organisation. The pilot is delivered remotely in English and charged in GBP. Country eligibility, scope, payment and any required data-transfer arrangements are confirmed before payment.
Is EchoCert a legal certification service?
No. EchoCert provides a structured technical evidence pack and integrity checks within an agreed scope. It does not guarantee admissibility or replace legal advice or an expert witness.
Do I send evidence in the first email?
No. Send only a short description, approximate file count and target date. EchoCert agrees the scope and transfer route before receiving the evidence set.
Does a matching hash prove the content is true?
No. A match shows that the checked bytes match the recorded reference. Content, authorship, context and truth require separate evidence.
What if the case is unsuitable?
EchoCert will say so before payment. If the agreed work cannot be supplied after payment, the published cancellation and refund terms apply.
What do you need another person to be able to check?
