EchoCert Mobile captures or selects a file, calculates its SHA-256 fingerprint on-device and creates a portable JSON receipt. Captured evidence is copied to the Android folder you choose and checked again before a receipt is issued.

EchoCert Mobile is built for byte-level integrity checks, not claims about what a photo or video depicts.
Control the destination
You choose the Android folder. EchoCert saves the evidence and receipts there so they remain visible in My Files.
Check the final bytes
The saved public file is copied back through Android's native storage path and compared with the staged source before the receipt is created.
Verify later
Re-check saved evidence or an imported file against a supported EchoCert receipt and retain a MATCH or NO_MATCH log.
What has passed—and what has not
Short physical capture, save, round-trip verification and receipt checks were reported as passing on a Samsung Galaxy S23+. The recovered repaired build also matches its recorded SHA-256 exactly.
What a match means
A matching SHA-256 shows that the checked bytes match the receipt. It does not prove truth, authorship, ownership, who operated the device, an independently certified time or legal admissibility. Keep a separately trusted receipt or fingerprint if replacement of both the evidence and its receipt is a concern.
